Whats in my park bag: Diaper bag edition

In my last post I touched on a couple travel "must haves" including my Fawn Design diaper bag. Now Im sure plenty of diaper bags out there will do the job just fine while getting your Disney on, but what do you really NEED while spending the day at the park with little mousekababes!? Don't fret, Im here to tell you!

Now as I've said before, carrying STUFF sucks, but unfortunately its something us moms unwillingly sign up for when we take on the gig of parenthood. When you do Disney you need stuff:

Hand sanitizer: ALL OF THE HAND SANITIZER. I currently have 3 in my diaper bag because you really can't ever have enough. Most shops at the parks carry hand sanitizer incase you get in a pinch or forget yours at home. There are also hand sanitizing stations outside most restrooms as well!

Travel sized first aid kit: this is one of those things if you don't have it you'll need it. Bandaids, sanitation wipes, ointment and gauze. Really you just never know when this will come in handy.

Sunscreen and SPF chapstick.

Baby wipes/sanitation wipes: you really can use baby wipes for just about anything no matter how big or small your kids are! l usually get one of those cute Disney themed Huggies travel packs to toss in my bag and can go through a whole pack depending how long our trip is. Uses I find for them other than the obvious: wiping hands, cleaning up melting Mickey bars, wiping down a quick service food table, a little post dripping sweat freshening, cleaning strollers, wiping off shoes and really just about anything. Wipes are a must have.

To go pack of tissues.

A change of clothes (esp pants/undies) for little ones. I don't care how potty trained your kid is, sometimes the excitement is just too much to handle and well... accidents happen and the last thing you need to spend money on are clothes you don't need. Not to mention scouring the park for undies/bottoms that not only fit your kid but somewhat match your already pre planned family outfits. Save yourself and be your own hero, bring extra clothes.

On the topic of accidents, this is also where those Arm & Hammer Diaper Dispensing bags (see previous post for more) come in excellent use. These are great to toss dirty clothes in if need be, while containing the mess and smell.

Stroller fan: Now this one does not necessarily have to go in your bag but I HIGHLY suggest taking a stroller fan with you especially if you are visiting in the summer months. I bought mine for $10 at Babies R Us (R.I.P) and it is a necessity. They clip right on the the side of the stroller and are battery operated (take an extra set of batteries just in case). Heat plays a HUGE role in exhausting kids, having a fan/spray bottle can help ease the melt down and keep kids entertained. I always am super happy we have ours during nap time at the parks!

Now the fun stuff:

EARS! You really can't go to Disney and not wear ears, its probably the only place you can wear an obstruction on your head other than a hat and not look like a crazy person.

Autograph books and markers: Photographed is a autograph felt banner from Merry Unbirthday Party Co. Check out her page for all sorts of fun Disney themed items that can make your time at the parks a little extra sparkly! We use fun Sharpie colors that match Peyton's room so when it is filled we can hang it on her wall!

Pictured is my Fawn Design bag organizer from Tote Savvy: If you haven't checked them out they are a universal diaper bag/ purse organizer! How do I have room for all the above in my diaper bag? Tote Savvy! It gives me extra storage (especially for those in case of emergency items) and comes with a changing pad! See below picture for how it fits and is packed in my bag!

Don't forget! Park prepping is a lot so make sure you don't forget your every day essentials! Wallet, ID, credit cards, magic bands, medicine and most importantly... SNACKS!

Extra: If you have room I always recommend brining your own poncho. Florida weather is unpredictable but you can most likely count on rain. Save some $$$ and bring our own ponchos from your local grocery! Don't worry when it rains all Disney shops supply ponchos for purchase! Not for purchase but I always bring my stroller cover too, this does NOT fit in my bag but I usually throw it in the bottom of my stroller.
